I’m seeing reports on the internets that there was once a long beloved diner in Raleigh called the Ham N’Egger…any ideas if this is akin to, or a resurrected version of it? its spoken of rather fondly, and was a precursor to the Oak City Diner whoch is also now defnct..

    Hi there T,
I invite you to come see the place and meet the owner. Thats me!
We opened up about 6 weeks ago now but We are not affiliated with the restaurant in Raleigh though we love the comparison if it was a great little spot to dine! Business is doing great. Many “regulars” already and many new faces which is nice to get the reactions. Again come on down and have a bite. Hours are M-F 06:30 – 3 pm. Sat 07:30-@ pm. On the corner of Sharron Rd and wake forest Hwy.
    Regards,
    Captain Robert

Ps…Dine there but don’t tell me it is you. Then let me know Your reaction :>)

For what it is (a little cafe attached to a convenience store in East Durham) this place is REALLY good. I finally went in yesterday after extended encouragement from my son; had a BOFFO philly cheesesteak & fries. No steak’ums there, just big chunks o’ tasty sauteed beef. Can’t wait to get back & try something else… can’t go wrong here, unless you’re on a diet!

Can anyone tell me if Not Just Wings is any good? Is it the same as Wingz and thingz?

Its not the same as Wingz and thingz, sadly no samosas. But, the hotdogs with mustard chili and onions are pretty good. The wings I had seemed to be a bit better than wingz and thingz, but without being able to compare them side to side I couldn’t really say for sure. Its different owners than before for sure, but for what it is, its still pretty great.
